The convergence of digital technology and restorative dentistry has greatly facilitated the development of personalized and precise restorations in dentistry.Dental characteristics,like fingerprints,are highly personalized human information.Differences between the shape of artificial restorations and natural teeth change the forces on the restorations and become a cause of uncomfortable restoration for patients.Therefore,the creation of restorations that are close to the shape of natural teeth and meet the personalized characteristics will enable patients to obtain a more comfortable,aesthetic and effective restoration.Establishing a dynamic database of personalized dentition information is an effective way to achieve personalized and precise restorations.In this paper,we will start from the application of digital technology in modern dental restorations,describe how to use digital technology to achieve personalized and precise restorations in dentistry and elaborate the significance of establishing a dynamic database of human dentition.
