Research progress on arrestin in common genetic and tendentious diseases
Arrestin also known as repressor protein, which is regulatory factors in cellular signal transduction in mammals and is closely related to the occurrence of many diseases.Arrestin can be regulated by β-adrenergic receptors and angiotensin Ⅱ receptors affect cardiovascular diastolic function and improve cardiovascular disease;upregulation of fibroblasts in retinal pigment epithelium to maintain retinal homeostasis,as well as an increase in photoreceptor cells, have a protective effect on the retina;reducing dopamine expression and improving psychiatric disorders;participate in the autophagy process of microglia to improve neurological diseases;increase liver cells, adipocytes,β cells quality and proliferation rate in order to improve insulin signaling transduction in the treatment of metabolic related diseases. This article reviews the pathogenesis and treatment of common genetic and tendentious diseases by arrestin, aiming to provide new ideas for clinical treatment.
