Clinical effect of fire acupuncture therapy on pain caused by bone metas-tasis cancer
Objective To study the clinical effect of fire acupuncture therapy on pain caused by bone metastasis cancer. Methods A total of 200 patients with moderate or severe pain due to bone metastasis cancer from January 2019 to January 2023 were selected in Chengde Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, they were divided into experimental group and control group by random number table method, with 100 cases in each group. The experimental group was treated with fire acupuncture and the control group was treated with Oxycontin. The expression levels of stress response factors epinephrine(E),norepinephrine(NE),and cortisol(Cor),Karnofsky performance score(KPS)and total incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results The treatment effect of pain in experimental group was better than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the expression levels of stress response factors E,NE,and Cor in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in experimental group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the KPS scores of the two groups were higher than before treatment, and the experimental group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in experimental groups was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of fire acupuncture therapy on pain caused by bone metastasis cancer is reliable and don't increase adverse reaction. It is an effective palliative treatment in clinic and has further research value.
