Professor Liu Hongxia's experience in treating refractory psoriasis based on"theory of yin syndrome"
Psoriasis is a common chronic inflammatory disease in dermatology,repeated attacks,difficult to cure,easy to progress to refractory psoriasis.Based on Wang Haogu's thought of"theory of yin syndrome"and the regional characteristics of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,Professor Liu Hongxia pointed out that patients with refractory psoriasis in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region had the physical characteristics of"root deficiency",the interplay of dryness,dampness,and blood stasis culminated in the accumulation of toxic elements within the body.The root deficiency and latent toxicity were the core pathogenesis of the disease,which was located in the liver,spleen,and kidney.Professor Liu Hongxia divided refractory psoriasis into syndrome of spleen deficiency with dampness accumulation,syndrome of spleen-kidney deficiency,syndrome of upper heat and lower cold,and proposed the treatment principles of strengthening spleen and detoxing toxin,spleen and kidney double tonification,conducting fire back to its origin,nourishing blood and moisturizing skin.Based on the formula of Jianpi Jiedu Decoction,and according to the characteristics of the disease,Professor Liu Hongxia emphasized the external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine such as cupping,fire therapy,and traditional Chinese medicine bath,as well as internal and external treatment,synergizing effect.It provides a new idea for clinical differentiation and treatment of refractory psoriasis.
