Status and analysis of clinical research coordinator in public hospitals
Objective To understand the current status of clinical research coordinator(CRC),and establish a reasonable CRC management system to promote the healthy growth of CRC occupation.Methods From February to March 2023,through questionnaire survey collected basic information,work status and working hospital of CRC in a public hospital in Shanghai,the influencing factors of the career development of CRC were investigated by univariate and multivariate analysis.Results In total of 215 questionnaires were distributed,and 207 valid questionnaires were finally collected,with a recovery rate of 96.82%.Age,matching degree of salary and ability,difficulty of dealing with people,family support,hospital training frequency have influence on career development intention(P<0.05),CRC with low age,high matching degree of salary and ability,and low difficulty in dealing with people have a higher willingness for career development(P<0.05).Conclusion CRC is an important part of clinical trials.By strengthening CRC training and assessment mechanism,establishing effective communication channels,improving incentive policies,improving CRC salary level,and other aspects,enhancing professional identity and belonging,so as to maintain the stability of CRC team.
