Clinical effect of santong balance acupuncture combined with massage on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy
Objective To explore the clinical effect of santong balance acupuncture combined with massage on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Methods From November 2021 to August 2022,80 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy treated in the outpatient Department of Acupuncture and Massage,Ma'anshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into routine acupuncture group and santong balanced acupuncture group according to random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The routine acupuncture group was treated with routine acupuncture on the basis of massage therapy,while the santong balanced acupuncture group was treated with massage therapy combined with santong balanced acupuncture,and the treatment time was four weeks.Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,visual analogue scale(VAS),pain rating index(PRI),present pain intensity(PPI),and cervical spondylosis clinical evaluation scale(CASCS)scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups,and the clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the main syndrome score,secondary syndrome score,and total score of the two groups were lower than before treatment,and the santong balance acupuncture group was lower than the conventional acupuncture group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,VAS,PRI,and PPI scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment,and the santong balance acupuncture group was lower than the conventional acupuncture group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of subjective symptoms,clinical symptoms,and adaptive ability of the two groups were higher than before treatment,and the santong balanced acupuncture group was higher than the conventional acupuncture group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The clinical effect of santong balance acupuncture group was better than that of conventional acupuncture group,and the difference was significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy,the clinical effect of santong balanced acupuncture combined with massage is obviously better than that of conventional acupuncture combined with massage.The clinical symptoms,cervical pain and cervical function of patients have been significantly improved,and the improvement range is greater than that of conventional acupuncture combined with massage,which is worthy of active promotion in clinic.
