Postoperative treatment of gliomas includes chemoradiotherapy and targeted therapy,so the choice of treatment vehicle is particularly important.Filamentous bacteriophages have excellent advantages due to their strong penetration of the blood-brain barrier, specific binding to tumor cells, and carrying a variety of exogenous DNA,making them glioma treatment vectors. This article reviews the research on filamentous bacteriophages in recent years, elaborates their physicochemical properties as therapeutic carriers, points out the isolation method of target phages and their application in the central nervous system, and compares them with other therapeutic vectors to provide new ideas for glioma treatment and prospect individualized treatment.
