Research progress on artificial intelligence-assisted diagnosis of osteo-porosis and prediction of fractures
Osteoporosis is an age-related systemic metabolic bone disease characterized by decreased bone mass and changes in bone microstructure.Its onset is insidious,early symptoms are lacking,and serious complications such as brittle fractures are prone to occur as the disease progresses.If not detected in a timely manner,it will bring a huge burden to individuals,families,and society.At present,the early screening and fracture prevention of osteoporosis are still insufficient.The combination of artificial intelligence technology and imaging data can help to screen osteoporosis early and predict the risk of osteoporotic fractures in patients.This article discusses the new research progress of artificial intelligence in the imaging assisted diagnosis and prediction of osteoporotic fractures in osteoporosis.
