Correlation analysis of stigma and social support and family caring degree after modified radical breast cancer surgery
Objective To analyze the correlation between stigma and social support and family care after modified radical surgery for breast cancer.Methods A total of 80 patients with modified radical mastectomy admitted to the Department of Breast Cancer Surgery,Fuyang Cancer Hospital,Anhui Province from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects.social impact scale(SIS),social support rating scale(SSRS),and family APGAR index(APGAR)were used to evaluate the stigma,social support utilization,and family care of patients,and the correlation between stigma,and social support and family care after radical breast cancer surgery was analyzed.Results Univariate linear regression showed that there were statistically significant differences in the level of education,monthly family income,payment method,clinical stage,and family education level in the stigma of patients with radical mastectomy(P<0.05).The total score and dimensions of SIS scale in patients with radical mastectomy were negatively correlated with SSRS and APGAR questionnaire total score and dimensions(r<0,P<0.05).Conclusion There is an inevitable relationship between stigma and social support and family care after modified radical breast cancer surgery.Therefore,clinical nursing should provide health education and cognitive guidance from the perspective of family through dose-effect relationship,enhance family members'attention to patients,and improve patients'utilization of family support.
