Study of the relationship between social support, coping style, and post-traumatic growth after intracranial aneurysm endovascular intervention
Objective To explore the relationship between social support, coping style and post-traumatic growth in patients with intracranial aneurysm after endovascular intervention. Methods A total of 335 patients with intracranial aneurysm who received endovascular treatment in Hainan General Hospital from March 2019 to February 2022 were selected as the study objects. The post-traumatic growth scale, perceptive social support scale and medical coping style questionnaire were used to evaluate the patients'post-traumatic growth, social support and coping style.Statistical methods such as single factor analysis and Pearson correlation were used for the analysis. Results The post-traumatic grouth(PTG)scores of patients with different family economic status, different education level and different daily living ability were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that the dimensions and total scores of PTSD were positively correlated with the total scores of the social support scale(r>0,P<0.05),significantly positively correlated with the scores of the face subscale of the medical coping style questionnaire(r>0,P<0.05),and negatively correlated with the scores of the avoidance and submission subscales(r<0,P<0.05).Multiple linear regression results showed that education level, family economic situation, total score of social support scale, facing positively affected post-traumatic growth, and daily living ability, submission, avoidance negatively affected post-traumatic growth(P<0.05).Conclusion The post-traumatic growth score of intracranial aneurysm patients after endovascular intervention is lower.Increased social support and coping styles may help improve the level of post-traumatic growth in patients.
