Application of mental and emotional state oriented care model in patients with severe head injury during postoperative recovery period
Objective To explore the application effect of mental and emotional state oriented care model in patients with severe head injury during postoperative recovery period.Methods From February 2020 to February 2023,100 severe head injury patients with postoperative recovery period of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected,and they were divided into control group and intervention group by odd even number method,with 50 patients in each group.Control group was given routine nursing intervention during postoperative recovery period,while intervention group received mental and emotional state oriented care model on the basis of control group,the intervention lasted for one month.Negative emotions(self-rating anxiety scale[SAS]and self-rating depression scale[SDS]),activities of daily living(modified Barthel index[MBI]),and cognitive function(Montreal cognitive assessment[MoCA])before and after intervention between two groups were compared.Results After intervention,SAS and SDS scores of two groups were lower than those before intervention,and those of intervention group were lower than those of control group(P<0.05);MBI and MoCA scores of two groups were higher than those before intervention,and those of intervention group were higher than those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Mental and emotional state oriented care model can improve the negative emotions of patients with severe head injury during postoperative recovery period,and improve their daily living activities and cognitive function.
