A case of herpes zoster complicated with acute urticaria and review of related literature
Herpes zoster and urticaria are both common and frequently-occurring diseases in dermatology,but their concurrent occurrence is rare in clinical practice.This paper retrospectively analyzed a patient with herpes zoster complicated with acute urticaria who was admitted to the Department of Dermatology,Xi'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in August 2022.The patient was treated with generalized red wind accompanied by pruritus for one day,and a history of herpes zoster was found after receiving the diagnosis.The patient was treated with Western medicine and Longdan Xiegan Decoction combined with external treatment of Chinese medicine to puncture collateral and bloodlet cupping.Satisfactory clinical effect was obtained,and no recurrence was observed during follow-up.This article analyzed and reported the diagnosis and treatment process and found that viral infection may be involved in the pathogenesis of acute urticaria.Through the report of this case and the review of relevant literature,it aims to supplement and enlighten the pathogenesis,diagnosis and treatment ideas of these two common diseases.
