Effect of empowering health education mode on self-efficacy and self-management ability in lung cancer patients with radiotherapy and chem-otherapy
Objective To explore the effect of empowering health education mode on self-efficacy and self-management ability in lung cancer patients with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Methods A total of 96 patients with lung cancer admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected as subjects,the patients were divided into reference group and study group by random number table method,with 48 cases in each group.During the period of radiotherapy and chemotherapy,the reference group was given routine nursing,and the study group was empowered with health education intervention based on routine nursing.The changes of self-efficacy and self-management ability of the two groups were observed.Results After intervention,the scores of self-management efficacy and self-management ability in the two group were higher than those before intervention,and those in the study group were higher than those in the reference group(P<0.05).After intervention,the self-management ability score of the study group was higher than that before intervention,and that of the study group was higher than that of the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Empowering health education in the nursing of patients with lung cancer radiotherapy,and chemotherapy can effectively help patients improve their self-efficacy and enhance their self-management ability.
