Influence of specific case nursing under Hogan theory on postoperative compliance behaviors and self-efficacy in patients with breast cancer complicated with diabetes mellitus
Objective To explore the influence of specific case nursing under Hogan theory on postoperative compliance behaviors and self-efficacy in patients with breast cancer complicated with diabetes mellitus.Methods A total of 82 patients with breast cancer and diabetes mellitus admitted to Nantong Tumor Hospital were selected from January 2020 to December 2022.According to the random number table method,the patients were devided into observation group(specific case nursing under Hogan theory was adopted)and control group(conventional nursing was received),with 41 cases in each group.The patients were intervened until three months after discharge,and the compliance behaviors,self-efficacy,and quality of life were observed in the two groups.Results After intervention,the scores of compliance behavior in both groups were higher than before intervention,and the observation group was higher than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of general self-efficacy scale in both groups were higher than before intervention,and the observation group was higher than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of functional assessment of cancer therapy-breast in both groups were higher than before intervention,and the observation group was higher than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Specific case nursing under Hogan theory can enhance the compliance behaviors and self-efficacy and improve the quality of life in patients with breast cancer complicated with diabetes mellitus.
