Research progress on the mechanism of cognitive impairment caused by low inflammation induced by obesity
With obesity rates on the rise, its potential impact on cognitive function has come into focus.Metabolic disorders and chronic low-grade inflammation in the state of obesity may be key factors leading to nerve cell dysfunction, especially some inflammatory cytokines produced by adipose tissue have been shown to cross the blood-brain barrier, thereby affecting the function of the central nervous system. Therefore, this paper focuses on how obesity induces low systemic inflammation, which damages the blood-brain barrier, causes obesity-related central inflammation, and then leads to cognitive impairment, and proposes anti-inflammatory strategies for the treatment of obesity-related inflammation,in order to provide references for the prevention and treatment of cognitive impairment.
