Evidence-based practice on fear of cancer recurrence symptom manage-ment in adult cancer patients
Objective To improve the effect of evidence-based practice on fear of cancer recurrence(FCR)symptom management in adult cancer patients.Methods A total of 150 cases with adult cancer patients from Huaian First Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from March to August 2022 were selected by convenience sampling method.The best evidence of FCR symptom management in adult cancer patients was retrieved according to the three stages of JBI evidence-based practice model,and symptom management was formulated and implemented.FCR scores and Newcastle satisfaction with nursing scale(NSNS)scores were compared before and after symptom management;a total of 150 patients'family members,8 physicians,and 32 nurses were selected as quality audit object,and their compliance with FCR symptom management before and after symptom management was compared.Results After symptom management,the FCR score of canver patients was lower than that before symptom management,and NSNS score was higher than that before symptom management,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After symptom management,the compliance of audit object was higher than that before symptom management,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Evidence-based practice can clarify the best evidence of FCR symptom management in adult cancer patients,and after application in practice,the symptom management program can be improved,which plays an important role in improving FCR symptom management level,and can also improve patients'satisfaction with nursing.
