Effect of sandwiched moxibustion assisted with Ondansetron on preventing chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting in lymphoma
Objective To investigate the preventive effect of sandwiched moxibustion assisted with Ondansetron on chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting in lymphoma. Methods A total of 112 lymphoma chemotherapy patients treated in Taizhou Central Hospital(Taizhou University Hospital)from January 2019 to July 2022 were selected and they were divided into study group and control group according to random number table method, with 56 cases in each group. The control group was given Ondansetron treatment, and the study group was given sandwiched moxibustion assisted Ondansetron treatment. The incidence of nausea and vomiting, symptom score, and quality of life were compared seven days after chemotherapy between the two groups. Results The incidence of nausea and vomiting in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Nausea and vomiting scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of physical function, cognitive function, social function, and emotional function in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of sandwiched moxibustion assisted with Ondansetron in patients with lymphoma chemotherapy can improve the prevention effect of nausea and vomiting, relieve nausea and vomiting symptoms, and improve the quality of life.
