Research progress of Kawasaki disease and seasonal viral infection in children
Kawasaki disease, also known as mucocutaneous lymphnode syndrome,is an immune vasculoinflammatory disease of infection-induced genetically susceptible children, which occurs in children under five years of age.The cause of Kawasaki disease is not yet known.Epidemiological studies on Kawasaki disease show that seasonal infectious agents may be an important cause of Kawasaki disease, especially seasonal viral infections. In this paper, the recent studies on Kawasaki disease and seasonal viral infections in children were summarized from three aspects:the relationship between common respiratory viruses and Kawasaki disease, the relationship between enterovirus and Kawasaki disease, and the pathophysiological mechanism of viral infection and Kawasaki disease,so as to provide evidence for the etiology research of Kawasaki disease.
