Analysis of post-traumatic growth in patients with first-episode cerebral infarction and its influencing factors
Objective To investigate the post-traumatic growth(PTG)in patients with first-episode cerebral infarction and its influencing factors. Methods A total of 138 patients with first-stage cerebral infarction in Jiangsu Province Hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected and evaluated by post-traumatic growth inventory(PTGI),perceptive social support scale(PSSS),and Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC).According to the results of PTGI,patients with PTG were included in PTG group(90 cases),patients without PTG were included in non-PTG group(48 cases). The general information,disease-related information,PSSS score, and CD-RISC score in two groups were compared.Logistic regression analysis was used to determine the influencing factors of PTG.Results There were significant differences in education background, family economic status, course of disease, sequelae,PSSS score, and CD-RISC score between PTG group and non-PTG group(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis results showed that educational background(OR=1.411,95%CI:1.064-1.871),disease duration(OR =1.295,95%CI:1.040-1.613),PSSS score(OR =1.969,95%CI:1.192-3.252),and CD-RISC score(OR=2.117,95%CI:1.288-3.480)were influencing factors of PTG(P<0.05).Conclusion Effective intervention according to the influencing factors of PTG is expected to improve the social support and mental resilience of patients with first-stage cerebral infarction, and promote PTG.
