Effect of endostatin on delayed healing after open reduction and internal fixation surgery of Garden type Ⅲ-Ⅳ femoral neck fractures in young adults
Objective To investigate the effect of endostatin on delayed healing after open reduction and internal fixation surgery of Garden type Ⅲ-Ⅳ femoral neck fractures in young adults. Methods The clinical data of 107 young adults with Garden type Ⅲ-Ⅳ femoral neck fractures underwent open reduction and internal fixation surgery in the 72nd Group Military Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from January 2020 to January 2023 were retrospectively collected.According to whether delayed healing occurred after surgery, they were divided into control group and delayed group. The clinical data of two groups were compared;and the influencing factors of delayed healing after open reduction and internal fixation surgery of Garden type Ⅲ-Ⅳ femoral neck fractures in young adults were analyzed;receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was plotted to evaluate the predictive value of endostatin in delayed healing after open reduction and internal fixation surgery of Garden type Ⅲ-Ⅳ femoral neck fractures in young adults. Results The incidence of delayed healing was 12.15%(13/107)in 107 patients. The levels of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and bone-specific alkaline phosphatase(BALP)in delayed group were lower than those in control group, and the level of endostatin was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).Endostatin was the risk factor for delayed healing after open reduction and internal fixation surgery of Garden type Ⅲ-Ⅳ femoral neck fracture in young adults(OR=1.067,P<0.05),VEGF and BALP were the protective factors(OR=0.942,0.762,P<0.05).The area under the curve of endostatin in predicting delayed healing after open reduction and internal fixation surgery of Garden type Ⅲ-Ⅳ femoral neck fractures in young adults was 0.828.Conclusion Endostatin can affect delayed healing after open reduction and internal fixation surgery of Garden type Ⅲ-Ⅳ femoral neck fractures in young adults, and can be used as a potential indicator to predict delayed healing.
