Application effect of ultrasonic bone knife minimally invasive teeth ex-traction combined with medical collagen sponge in the extraction of mandibular impacted teeth
Objective To explore the effect of ultrasonic bone knife minimally invasive teeth extraction combined with medical collagen sponge in the extraction of mandibular impacted teeth. Methods A total of 150 patients with impacted mandibular teeth were admitted to Nanchong Central Hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were selected as subjects, they were divided into two groups by random number table method, with 75 cases in each group.Minimally invasive ultrasonic bone scalpel tooth extraction method was used to remove the affected teeth in both groups. The control group received regular treatment during the operation, while the experimental group received additional treatment using medical collagen sponge. The occurrence of oral bleeding was compared between the two groups at 30 min after surgery. The degree of oral pain(visual analog scale[VAS])in patients was evaluated at 24 and 72 h after surgery. The degree of mouth opening limitation in both groups was assessed at 72 h after surgery.Postoperative complications were recorded. Results The incidence of oral bleeding in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in VAS scores between two groups at different time points(P<0.05).24 h and 72 h after surgery,VAS scores in experimental group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The severity of mouth opening limitation in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of ultrasonic bone knife minimally invasive teeth extraction combined with medical collagen sponge in the treatment of impacted mandibular teeth can help to reduce postoperative pain, bleeding rate, and risk of complications in patients.
