Value of gratitude extension-construction theory intervention in the con-tinuous care of patients with depression
Objective To explore the value of gratitude extension-construction theory intervention in the continuous care of patients with depression.Methods A total of 600 patients with depression admitted to the Shaoxing Seventh People's Hospital,Zhejiang Province from May 2021 to May 2022 were selected,according to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and study group,with 300 cases in each group.The control group adopted the conventional continuous nursing,and the study group adopted the continuous nursing guided by the gratitude extension-construction theory.Depression improvement(patient health questionnaires-9[PHQ-9],Hamilton depression scale[HAMD]),dysfunction(dysfunctional attitude scale[DAS]),well-being(general well-being schedule[GWB]),medical coping style(medical coping modes questionnaire[MCMQ]),and living quality(World Health Organization quality of life-100 scale)were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Results After intervention,the PHQ-9 scores and HAMD scores of both groups were lower than those before intervention,and the scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the DAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before intervention,GWB score was higher than that before intervention,and the DAS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group and GWB score was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of yielding coping and avoidance coping were lower than those before intervention,and the scores of facing coping were higher than those before intervention,and the scores of yielding coping and avoidance coping in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the scores of facing coping were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the psychology,independence,social relation,and total score of the two groups were higher than those before intervention,and the study group was higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The continuous nursing under the guidance of gratitude extension and construction theory can improve the depressive symptoms and quality of life,optimize the medical coping style of patients,and the intervention effect is significant,which is worthy of clinical application.
