Study on the application of health education model guided by patient learn-ing needs scale in patients undergoing breast cancer surgery
Objective To explore the study on the application of health education model guided by patient learning needs scale(PLNS)in patients undergoing breast cancer surgery.Methods A total of 128 breast cancer patients admitted to Fuyang Cancer Hospital,Anhui Province from February 2020 to October 2022 was selected and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number method,with 64 cases in each group.The control group implemented the routine health education model,and the observation group implemented the PLNS guiding the health education model.The health literacy and quality of life of the two groups were compared the next day of operation and after 24 weeks of intervention.Results One case was lost to follow-up in each of the two groups.After 24 weeks of intervention,the scores of information acquisition ability,communication and interaction ability,willingness to improve health,willingness to financial support and total scores in two groups were higher than those on the next day of operation,and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After 24 weeks of intervention,the scores of physical function,psychological function,social function,common modules and side effects,specific modules,and the total scores of scale in two groups were higher than those on the next day of operation,and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion PLNS guided health education contributes to the improvement of health literacy of patients undergoing breast cancer surgery,and has a positive impact on improving the quality of life.
