Application of nursing intervention based on Watson theory in elderly patients with intertrochanteric fractures of femur
Objective To observe the application of nursing intervention based on Watson theory in elderly patients with intertrochanteric fractures of femur. Methods A total of 90 elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur treated in Hefei First People's Hospital from May 2020 to May 2022 were selected, and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received routine intervention, and the observation group received nursing intervention based on Watson theory.Visual analogue scale(VAS)score, caring behavior measurement scale(CBM)score, general self-efficacy scale(GSES)score,World Health Organization quality of life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF)score,and hip Harris score before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the VAS scores in two groups were lower than those before intervention, and those of the observation group were lower than those of control group(P<0.05).The CBM score,GSES score, and WHOQOL-BREF score in two groups were higher than those before intervention, and those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Hip rehabilitation of observation group was better than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention based on Watson theory can improve pain and hip function in elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur, improve patients'self-efficacy and quality of life.
