Impact of full process nutrition management plan based on nutritional risk screeing 2002 on the nutritional status and quality of life of patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumors
Objective To explore the impact of full process nutrition management plan based on nutritional risk screening 2002(NRS2002)on nutritional status and quality of life of patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumors. Methods A total of 65 patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumors admitted in the Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Lingang District from March 2020 to February 2021 as control group, and 65 patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumors admitted in the Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Lingang District from June 2021 to May 2022 as intervention group.Control group was given a routine nutritional management plan, while intervention group was given full process nutrition management plan based on NRS2002.NRS2002 scale was used to compare nutritional status of both groups before and after intervention. The levels of hemoglobin(Hb),albumin(ALB),and quality of life[quality of life scale(QLQ-C30)]were compared in both groups. Results After intervention,NRS2002 scores of both groups were lower than those before intervention, and those of intervention group were lower than those of control group(P<0.05).Levels of Hb and ALB in both groups were higher than those before intervention, and those of intervention group were higher than those of control group(P<0.05).Scores of QLQ-C30 in both groups were higher than those before intervention, and those of intervention group were higher than those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Full process nutrition management plan based on NRS2002 can improve nutritional status and quality of life of patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumors.
