Establishment of competency assessment system for respiratory and critical care medicine residents
Objective To establish competency assessment system for residents specializing in Respiratory and Critical care medicine for China's national conditions.Methods The study was conducted from August 2022 to July 2023,literature review combined with Delphi method,including two rounds of expert consultations were conducted to identify and refine competency assessment for residents in respiratory and critical care medicine.Results The effective recovery rates of the two rounds of correspondence were 100%,the expert authority coefficients were 0.905 and 0.914,respectively,and the Kendall harmony coefficients of expert consultation were 0.193(χ2=237.561,P＜0.001)and 0.157(χ2=212.459,P＜0.001),respectively.The study established a competency assessment system,comprising eight primary indicators and 38 secondary indicators.Conclusion This study initially constructs a competency evaluation system for residents in the department of respiratory and critical care medicine,which is more suitable for the practical clinical environment of standardized training for residents in the department of respiratory and critical care medicine in China,and provide a simple and feasible competency evaluation method for standardized training and teaching.
