Research on standardized training mode of visiting anesthesiologists in Peking Union Medical College Hospital
Objective To evaluate the effect of scientific research training on visiting anesthesiologists in the Department of Anesthesiology in Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and to explore the mode of scientific research training on visiting anesthesiologists in the Department of Anesthesiology. Methods A total of 151 physicians who received training in the Department of Anesthesiology,Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects.Firstly, the research background and research needs were investigated through questionnaire survey.According to the results of questionnaire survey,a comprehensive training model was formulated, including research experience sharing, research topic participation, learning resource sharing,off-job training, and special guidance. The training lasted for six months, and the feedback of the anesthesiologists was collected by questionnaire before the end of the training. Results A total of 151 questionnaires were distributed, and 139 valid questionnaires were collected.Clinical research, teaching research, and translational medicine were the most interesting research directions for studying anesthesiologists.Basic scientific knowledge is lacking, the lack of independent research time, and the lack of experience in scientific research work were the biggest difficulties encountered by training anesthesiologists in scientific research work.Technical support, personal guidance, and time for research were the most expected help for visiting anesthesiologists. After six months of training,88.5%of the anesthesiologists believed that the training course was useful for improving their scientific research level. At the same time, the anesthesiologists also hope to carry out more training in clinical research design, basic research, and research paper writing in the future. Conclusion Research training has become part of the training of visiting anesthesiologists.Courses should be designed according to individualized needs and aptitude,in order to improve the quality of continuing education.
