Study on the occurrence and influencing factors of anxiety state in pa-tients with idiopathic facial palsy
Objective To investigate the occurrence of anxiety state in patients with idiopathic facial palsy(IFP)and analyze the related influencing factors. Methods A total of 230 IFP patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine from November 2021 to January 2023 were included, and their general information,self-rating anxiety scale score, facial disability index(physical facial disability index, social life facial disability index),and facial nerve electromyography assessment results were collected to explore the influencing factors of patients with post-onset anxiety. Results Among the 230 IFP patients,122 were anxious, the self-rating anxiety scale score was(60.04±6.80)points.There were statistically significant differences in the incidence of anxiety among patients with different gender, marital status, type of medical insurance, timely treatment, education level, sleep status, physical facial disability index, social life facial disability index, degree of mouth paralysis, and blink reflex wave(P<0.05).The results of multivariate analysis showed that gender(OR=0.457,95%CI:0.247-0.846),education level(OR=1.692,95%CI:1.087-2.633),physical facial disability index(OR=0.980,95%CI:0.964-0.997),social life facial disability index(OR=1.010,95%CI:0.997-1.024),sleep status(OR=1.376,95%CI:1.046-1.810)were independent influencing factors for anxiety in IFP patients(P<0.05).The gender, physical facial disability index had certain diagnostic value for anxiety state in IFP patients(P<0.05).Conclusion IFP patients have a high incidence of anxiety, and there are many influencing factors leading to the occurrence of anxiety.Clinical attention should be paid to it in order to intervene in advance and reduce the occurrence of negative emotions.
