Clinical effect of microneedle combined with Minoxidil Liniment in the treatment of male with androgenetic alopecia
Objective To investigate the effect and safety of microneedle combined with Minoxidil Liniment in the treatment of male androgenetic alopecia(AGA).Methods A total of 139 male patients with AGA who visited the Department of Dermatology,Hefei BOE Hospital from June 2020 to October 2022 were selected.They were divided into microneedle combined with Minoxidil Liniment group(47 cases),monotherapy Minoxidil Liniment group(46 cases),and monotherapy microneedle group(46 cases),all were treated for 24 weeks.The clinical effects of three groups were compared;the levels of serum testosterone(T),dihydrotestosterone(DHT),sex hormone binding globulin(SHBG),and free testosterone(FT)were compared among three groups before and after treatment;hair density and hair stem diameter were compared amog three groups before and after treatment;the occurrence of adverse reactions in three groups were observed.Results The clinical effect of microneedle combined with Minoxidil Liniment group was better than that of monotherapy Minoxidil Liniment group and microneedle group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of T,DHT,and FT in three groups were lower than those before treatment,while the levels of SHBG were increased than those before treatment(P＜0.05);the levels of T,DHT,and FT of microneedle combined with Minoxidil Liniment group were lower than those of monotherapy Minoxidil Liniment group and monotherapy microneedle group,while the level of SHBG was higher than that of monotherapy Minoxidil Liniment group and monotherapy microneedle group alone(P＜0.05).After treatment,the hair density and hair shaft diameter of three groups were increased than those before treatment(P＜0.05);the hair density of microneedle combined with Minoxidil Liniment group was higher than that of microneedle Minoxidil Liniment group and microneedle microneedle group,and the hair shaft diameter was higher than that of microneedle Minoxidil Liniment group and microneedle microneedle group alone(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidence of adverse reactions between microneedle combined with Minoxidil Liniment group and microneedle Minoxidil Liniment group,microneedle group(P＞0.05).Conclusion Microneedle combined with Minoxidil Liniment in the treatment of male AGA patients is effective,it can improve the male hormone level,increase the hair density and hair shaft diameter,and has high safety.
