The value of serum D-dimer elimination kinetics model in predicting ve-nous thromboembolism
Objective To construct a dynamic model of serum D-dimer elimination and analyze its predictive value for venous thromboembolism. Methods The clinlical data of 79 patients received anticoagulant therapy in Gynecology Department or Obstetrics Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Tongji University from January 2020 to December 2022 were retrospective analyzed, and D-dimer concentration and related clinical data were collected, and the kinetic model parameters of D-dimer were estimated by using nonlinear mixed effects models software. Results The initial concentration of D-dimer was 3.73 mg/L when thrombus occurs, which accorded with the second-order elimination kinetic model. The elimination rate of D-dimer was slow in cancer patients. Conclusion The kinetics of D-dimer clearance during anticoagulation therapy varies wildly among individuals. The model can be used to predict the time of D-dimer clearance to negative in patients, and can provide reference for clinical practice.
