Effect of Gancao Xiexin Decoction on gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with gastric cancer during chemotherapy
Objective To investigate the curative effect of Gancao Xiexin Decoction on gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with gastric cancer during chemotherapy.Methods A total of 80 patients with gastric cancer treated with chemotherapy in Zhangjiagang Aoyang Hospital Co.,Ltd.,Jiangsu Province,from February 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the study objects,and they were divided into the control group and the study group according to random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional chemotherapy,and the study group was treated with Gancao Xiexin Decoction on the basis of the control group.Both groups were treated for three courses of treatment.The immune function,traditional Chinese medicine symptom score before and after treatment,clinical efficacy,quality of life,and overall incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,CD4+and CD4+/CD8+in both groups were higher than before treatment,and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in CD8+between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the scores of epigastric tingling,chest epigastric distension,nausea,and tolerance in both groups were lower than before treatment,and those in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The therapeutic effect of the study group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life of study group was better than that of control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of Gancao Xiexin Decoction in patients with gastric cancer undergoing chemotherapy can improve immune function and alleviate digestive tract symptoms,and the clinical effect is significant,worthy of clinical application.
