Impact of nursing intervention based on Orem self-care model on psycho-logical stress response and pain status of patients with emergency trauma fracture
Objective To explore the application of nursing interventions based on Orem self-care model in patients with emergency trauma fracture. Methods A total of 108 patients with emergency traumatic fracture treated in Lishui Central Hospital of Zhejiang Province from January to December 2022 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into group A and group B according to random number table method, with 54 cases in each group.Group A was treated with routine nursing, group B was treated with Orem self-care model on the basis of routine nursing. Both groups were followed up for three months. The indexes related to treatment, psychological stress response(self-rating anxiety scale[SAS]and self-rating depression scale[SDS]),pain(visual analogue scale[VAS]),comfort status(general comfort questionnaire[GCQ])score, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The time required for treatment related indexes in group B were shorter than those in group A(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of SAS,SDS,and VAS in both groups were lower than before intervention, and the scores of GCQ were higher than before intervention, and the scores of SAS,SDS,and VAS in group B were lower than those in group A,and the score of GCQ in group A was higher than that in group A(P<0.05).The total complication rate of group B was lower than that of group A(P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing interventions based on Orem self-care model could promote the first aid and rehabilitation effects of emergency trauma fracture patients, reduce their psychological stress reactions and pain levels, further improve their comfort, and effectively reduce the occurrence of complications.
