Research progress in prevention and treatment of bladder neck contrac-ture after benign prostatic hyperplasia surgery with new surgical methods
Bladder neck contracture(BNC)is one of the long-term complications after benign prostatic hyperplasia surgery,it's main symptom is dysuria,which may be caused by the stimulation of inflammatory factor or microvascular lesions.BNC can be prevented by the treatment of prostatitis and improvement of microcirculation preoperatively,prophylactic bladder neck incision,adjustment of instrument usage intraoperatively,and the treatment of urinary tract infection,monitoring of scar formation indicators postoperatively.The surgical method for BNC is generally transurethral bladder neck surgery,and for refractory BNC,bladder neck reconstruction can be used.This article will review the mechanisms,preventive methods,and treatments of postoperative BNC in the treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia using new surgical methods,in order to assist in clinical work.
