Value of ultrasound combined with serum endostatin level in evaluating recurrence after endoscopic thyroid surgery through oral vestibular app-roach
Objective To evaluate the value of ultrasound combined with serum endostatin(ES)in the evaluating of recurrence after endoscopic thyroid surgery through oral vestibular approach in patients with thyroid cancer. Methods A total of 116 thyroid surgery patients admitted to Haian Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jiangsu Province from December 2019 to December 2021 were selected as the observation group, and 109 healthy physical examination subjects during the same period were selected as the reference group.Ultrasound maxmum velocity(V max),blood flow resistance index(RI),and serum ES were compared between the two groups, and receiver operating characteristic curve was drawn to analyze the efficacy of ultrasound combined with serum ES level in evaluating postoperative recurrence. Results Vmax,RI,and serum ES levels in the observation group were higher than those in the reference group(P<0.05).Vmax,RI,and serum ES in the recurrence group were significantly higher than those in the non-recurrence group(P<0.05).Vmax,RI,and serum ES were risk factors for postoperative recurrence(OR>1,P<0.05).The area under curve of combined ultrasound and serum ES predict postoperative recurrence was higher than those of single evaluation(P<0.05).Conclusion Vmax,RI,and serum ES levels are risk factors for postoperative recurrence, and ultrasound evaluation is higher.
