Effect of Jianpi Xiaozhuo Prescription combined with press needle in the treatment of central obesity of spleen deficiency and dampness resistance type
Objective To investigate the effect of Jianpi Xiaozhuo Prescription combined with press needle in the treatment of central obesity(CO)of spleen deficiency and dampness resistance type.Methods A total of 70 CO patients with spleen deficiency and dampness resistance type who received medical treatment or physical examination at the Preventive Treatment of Disease Center,Physical Examination Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from March to December 2021 were selected as the study objects,and they were divided into the control group and the treatment group by random number table method,with 35 cases in each group.The control group was given health education treatment,and the treatment group was given Jianpi Xiaozhuo Prescription combined with press needle treatment on the basis of the control group,all of which were treated for three months.Obesity index,abdominal fat thickness,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,biochemical index,and clinical effect were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the body mass index and waist circumference of two groups were lower than before treatment,and those in the treatment group was lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the thickness of umbilical subcutaneous fat,umbilical visceral fat,suboum bilical subcutaneous fat,and suboumbilical visceral fat in two groups was lower than before treatment,and those in treatment group were lower than those in control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment,and those of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of total cholesterol,triglyceride,and fasting blood glucose in two groups were lower than before treatment,and the triglyceride and fasting blood glucose in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The clinical effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control g roup(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of Jianpi Xiaozhuo Prescription and press needle has a significant clinical effect on treating CO of spleen deficiency and dampness resistance type.
