Application effect of morning shift mode in clinical nursing management of thoracic surgery department
Objective To explore application effect of morning shift mode in clinical nursing management of thoracic surgery department.Methods Based on the characteristics of thoracic surgery department,set up morning shift improvement group,then improve the traditional shift mode through methods such as group discussion,literature review,and expert consultation.A total of 100 patients after thoracic surgery in Jiangsu Cancer Hospital in January 2021 and March 2022 were randomly selected as the study objects according to the admission time of patients,including 50 patients in January 2021 as the control group,and 50 patients in March 2022 as the observation group.The control group adopted the conventional shift pattern,and the observation group adopted the improved morning shift pattern.The anxiety scores before and after surgery,the rate of getting out of bed within 24 h after surgery and patient satisfaction were observed,and after the implementation of the improvement,nurses'satisfaction,shift duration,and nurses'awareness of patients'condition were observed for one month.Results After surgery,the anxiety scores of the two groups were lower than those before sugery,and that of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The rate of getting out of bed within 24 h after surgery in observation group was higher than that in control group(P＜0.05).The satisfaction of patients of observation group was higher than that of control group(P＜0.05).Nurses'satisfaction after the implementation of the improvement was higher than that before the implementation of the improvement(P＜0.05).The shift time of observation group was longer than that of control group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the awareness rate of nurses between two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion The application of the improved early shift mode can reduce the degree of postoperative anxiety of patients,improve the activity rate of patients and the satisfaction of patients and nurses 24 h after surgery,shorten the night shift delay time,and improve shift efficiency.
