Application of enteral nutrition support in patients with intensive care unit
Objective To explore the application of enteral nutrition support in patients with intensive care unit. Methods A total of 82 patients admitted to Department of Critical Care Medicine, the Sixth People's Hospital of Nantong from January 2020 to December 2022 were studied by convenience sampling method, and they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was given routine parenteral nutrition support, and the observation group was given enteral nutrition support care. The nutritional discarding, complications, and nutritional level of patients were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing care,prealbumin,retinol-binding protein, and transferrin in the two groups were higher than those before nursing care(P<0.05).The hospitalization days and the abandonment rate of enteral nutrition in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in enteral nutrition complications between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Enteral nutrition support can effectively improve the level of enteral nutrition in intensive care unit patients, reduce enteral nutrition complications and enteral nutrition abandonment, and has clinical guiding significance.
