Effect of feedforward control nursing strategy on preventing complica-tions related to deep vein catheterization in patients with tumor chemotherapy
Objective To investigate the effect of feedforward control nursing strategy on preventing complications related to deep vein catheterization in patients with tumor chemotherapy. Methods A total of 84 patients with deep vein catheterization for tumor chemotherapy admitted to Lishui Central Hospital,Zhejiang Province from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected and they were divided into the control group(39 patients admitted from May 2021 to April 2022)and the observation group(45 patients admitted from May 2022 to May 2023)according to the admission time. The control group was given routine nursing, the observation group was given feedforward control nursing strategy, and both groups continued nursing until the patients were discharged. The scores of psychological state(self-rating anxiety scale[SAS]and self-rating depression scale[SDS]),degree of comfort(general comfort questionnaire[GCQ],self-management ability, and the exercise of self-care agency scale[ESCA])before and after nursing was compared between the two groups, related complications and nursing satisfaction after catheterization were recorded. Results After nursing,SAS and SDS scores in both groups were lower than before nursing, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After nursing,GCQ,self-management ability, and ESCA scores of both groups were higher than before nursing, and those in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).The total complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of feedforward control nursing strategy in patients with deep vein catheterization of tumor chemotherapy can alleviate their adverse emotions, improve their self-care ability and nursing satisfaction, and reduce the incidence of related complications.
