Research progress of glymphatic system in central nervous inflammation-related diseases
The damage of the glymphatic system is one of the important causes of central nervous inflammation caused by abnormal substance metabolism. The pathogenesis of central nervous inflammation caused by Alzheimer's disease, optic neuromyelitis, depression, and other diseases has become a hot topic at home and abroad. In recent years, more and more studies have been conducted on the correlation between structural changes and functional impairment of the glymphatic system and central nervous inflammation.Among them, abnormal expression of aquaporins in the glymphatic system and changes in perivascular space affect brain fluid flow and mediate central nervous inflammation, which play an important role in the disease process. This article reviews the research progress of how the glymphatic system maintains fluid homeostasis in central nervous inflammation-related diseases,in order to provide theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of central nervous inflammation-related diseases.
