Application research of multidisciplinary nutrition management model based on nutritional risk levels in gastric cancer patients
Objective To explore the application of multidisciplinary nutrition management model based on nutritional risk levels in gastric cancer patients. Methods A total of 120 patients with gastric cancer who received treatment in Nantong Cancer Hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected, they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received multidisciplinary nutrition management model based on nutritional risk level. The differences of nutritional indexes, appetite, and quality of life were compared between the two groups before intervention and after six months of intervention(after intervention). Results After intervention, the nutritional indexes of both groups were higher than those before intervention, and those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The appetite score of the two groups was higher than that before intervention, and that of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of physical function, role function, emotional function, social function, cognitive function and general health status in the two groups were higher than these before intervention, and the physical function, role function, emotional function and general health status of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The fatigue and pain scores of control group were higher than before intervention, the fatigue scores of observation group was lower than those before intervention, and the pain scores was higher than those of before intervention(P<0.05).The scores of nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath, insomnia, loss of appetite, economic hardship, diarrhea and constipation in both groups were lower than those before intervention, and the scores of fatigue, nausea, vomiting, insomnia, loss of appetite, economic hardship, diarrhea and constipation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Multidisciplinary nutritional management model based on nutritional risk levels can improve nutritional status, appetite and quality of life of gastric cancer patients, providing a effective nutritional management method.
