Study on combustion infrared spectrum characteristics of moxa columns with different properties
Objective To explore the combustion infrared spectrum characteristics of moxa columns with different properties.Methods Carbonized moxa columns and common moxa columns with different storage years(3,5,and 10 years),different leaf-wool ratios(3∶1,5∶1,and 10∶1),and diffe-rent compactness(low,medium,and high)were selected as experimental samples,and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer was used to test the combustion infrared spectrum of the samples,and the spectral characteristics such as peak and shape were analyzed.The main indexes were characteristic peak wavelength,characteristic peak height,and the radiant intensity of infrared band(1.28-25.00 µm),near infrared band(1.28-3.00 μm),ATP energy metabolism characteristic band(2.0-2.5 μm),and human infrared radiation peak band(7.5-10.0 μm).Results The peak value of the combustion infrared single beam spectrum of carbonized moxa columns were 4.012 μm,and the peak value of the common moxa columns(storage for 3 years,leaf-wool ratio 3∶1,medium compactness)were 4.630 μm;after deducting the atmospheric background radiation,both spectrum had a peak or trough near 4.241 μm or 15.000 μm.Compared with common moxa columns(storage for 3 years,leaf-wool ratio 3∶1,medi-um compactness),the radiant intensity of infrared band of carbonized moxa columns was higher,the characteristic peak wavelength was longer,and the characteristic peak height was low(P<0.05).Compared with storage for 3 years moxa columns,the radiant intensity of infrared band,near in-frared band,ATP energy metabolism characteristic band,and human infrared radiation peak band of storage for 10 years moxa columns were higher(P<0.05);the radiant intensity of ATP energy metabolism characteristic band of storage for 5 years moxa columns were higher(P<0.05).Compared with storage for 5 years moxa columns,the radiant intensity of infrared band,near infrared band,ATP energy metabolism characteristic band,and human infrared radiation peak band of storage for 10 years moxa columns were higher(P<0.05).Compared with leaf-wool ratio of 3∶1 moxa columns,the radiant intensity of infrared band,near infrared band,ATP energy metabolism characteristic band,and human infrared radiation peak band of leaf-wool ratio of 10∶1 moxa columns were higher(P<0.05);the radiant intensity of infrared band,ATP energy metabolism characteristic band,and human infrared radiation peak band of leaf-wool ratio of 5∶1 moxa columns were higher(P<0.05).Compared with low compactness moxa columns,the radiant intensity of infrared band and human infrared radiation peak band of medium,high compactness moxa columns were higher(P<0.05).Conclusion The radiation intensity of carbonized moxa columns are strong,but the spectrum is different from that of common moxa columns,and increasing the storage year and the leaf-wool ratio of common moxa columns can strengthen the radiant intensity of common moxa columns,and moderate compactness of common moxa columns are better,which provides a basis for the study of the action mechanism of traditional moxibustion.
