Objective To observe the clinical effect of fire needle combined with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction in the treatment of spinal cord injury convalescent.Methods A total of 90 spinal cord injury convalescent patients were selected from December 2021 to October 2023 in the De-partment of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Department of Geriatrics,Guilin Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,and they were divided into fire needle group,traditional Chinese medicine group,and combined group according to random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.The three groups were given routine basic rehabilitation training,the fire-needle group was added with fire-needle treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine group was added with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction,and the combined group was added with fire-needle combined with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction.The three groups were treated continuously for eight weeks.The American Spinal Injury Association(ASIA)sensory function rating scale,ASIA motor function rating scale,and activities of daily living were evalu-ated before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the scores of light touch in ASIA sensory function scale,acupuncture sense in ASIA senso-ry function scale,ASIA motor function rating scale,and modified Barthel index in the three groups were higher than those before treatment,and those in the combined group were higher than those in the fire needle group and the traditional Chinese medicine group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Fire needle combined with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction can significantly improve the sensory function,motor function,and the ability of daily living in patients with spinal cord injury convalescent.
