Application value of palliative care under symptom management theory for patients with advanced cervical cancer
Objective To explore the application value of palliative care under symptom management theory for patients with advanced cervical cancer. Methods A total of 100 patients with advanced cervical cancer from Nantong Third People's Hospital from July 2019 to July 2022 were selected as the study objects and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received conventional palliative care, and the observation group added the palliative care under symptom management theory on the basis of the control group. Both groups received nursing care for one month. The Chinese perceived stress scale(CPSS),cancer-related fatigue(CRF)scale, and the World Health Organization on quality of life brief scale(WHOQOL-BREF)before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the CPSS and CRF scores of the two groups were lower than those before inter-vention,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the WHOQOL-BREF scores in both groups were higher than before intervention, and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with advanced cervical cancer, palliative care under the symptom management theory can not only reduce the psychological resilience of patients, but also improve the score of patients with CRF scale, and then improve the quality of life of patients after the disease, which is worthy of reference and adoption by various departments.
