Current understanding of knowledge of labor analgesia and its influencing factors in pregnant women
Objective To analyze the current understanding of knowledge of labor analgesia and its influencing factors in pregnant women.Meth-ods A total of 390 expectant pregnant women in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,the Third People's Hospital of Chengdu from November 2020 to November 2023 were selected to investigate their current understanding of knowledge of labor analgesia before delivery.Accord-ing to their current understanding,they were divided into well understanding group and bad understanding group.The relevant data of the two groups were compared to analyze the influencing factors affecting the knowledge of labor analgesia in pregnant women.Results Among 390 preg-nant women,250 pregnant women had good understanding of labor analgesia were included in the well understanding group,140 pregnant women with bad understanding were included in the bad understanding group.There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in edu-cation level,pregnancy time,delivery time,place of residence,main ways to understand labor analgesia,attitude toward labor analgesia,and preg-nancy school learning times during pregnancy(P＜0.05).The results of multivariate analysis showed that education level(OR=11.612,95％CI:1.557-86.574),delivery time(OR=14.702,95％CI:1.972-109.618),main ways to understand labor analgesia(OR=15.256,95％CI:3.453-67.416),attitude toward labor analgesia(OR=8.356,95％CI:1.110-62.916),pregnancy school learning times during pregnancy(OR=20.615,95％CI:4.997-85.036)were the influencing factors of bad understanding of knowledge of labor analgesia in pregnant women(P＜0.05).Conclusion The understanding of labor analgesia knowledge in pregnant women before delivery is still relatively low.The education level,delivery time,the main ways to understand labor analgesia,the attitude toward labor analgesia,and pregnancy school learning times during pregnancy are the influencing factors affecting the understanding of knowledge of labor analgesia in pregnant women.Relevant interventions should be taken in clinical practice to improve the understanding of knowledge labor analgesia in pregnant women.
