Changes of the levels of serum monocyte chemoattractant protein-4,solu-ble intercellular adhesion molecule-1,and interleukin-33 in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia and their correlation with airway re-modeling and lung function
Objective To investigate the changes of the levels of serum monocyte chemotactic protein-4(MCP-4),soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1),and interleukin-33(IL-33)in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia and their correlation between airway re-modeling and lung function. Methods A total of 96 children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia admitted to Jianhu Clinical Medical College,Yangzhou University from January to December 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into asthma group(30 cases)and pneumonia group(66 cases)according to whether they had asthma. The levels of serum MCP-4,sICAM-1,IL-33 level, and forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),peak expiratory flow rate(PEF),forced vital capacity(FVC),bronchial wall thickness(WT),bronchial lumen diameter(LD),type Ⅰ collagen(COL-Ⅰ),and fibronectin 1(FN1)were compared among three groups;the correlation of serum MCP-4,sICAM-1,IL-33 with FEV1,PEF,FVC,WT,LD,Col-Ⅰ,and FN1 were analyzed. Results The levels of serum MCP-4,sICAM-1,IL-33,Col-Ⅰ,and FN1 in asthma group and pneumonia group were higher than those in control group, and FEV 1 and FVC were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The levels of serum MCP-4,sICAM-1,IL-33,Col-Ⅰ,and FN1 in asthma group were higher than those in pneumonia group, and FEV 1 and FVC were lower than those in pneumonia group(P<0.05).Serum MCP-4,sICAM-1,and IL-33 were negatively correlated with FEV1 and FVC(r<0,P<0.05),but positively correlated with Col-Ⅰ and FN1(r>0,P<0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of serum MCP-4,sICAM-1,and IL-33 in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae mycoplasma are abnormally high, which is closely related to airway remodeling and lung function.
