Professor Guo Weiqin's clinical experience in staging treatment of hyper-tension
Professor Guo Weiqin is a renowned traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in China who has been dedicated to the study of cardio-vascular diseases for many years and has achieved significant clinical efficacy. After summarizing and analyzing a large number of clinical cases of hypertension,Professor Guo Weiqin believes that there is a general trend in the evolution of the pathogenesis of hypertension, which can be divided into three stages of treatment based on clinical manifestations and stages. For example,in the early stage, the main pathogenesis is liver depression transforming into fire, and obstruction of middle jiao by damp-turbidity,and blood stasis gradually builds up.In the later stage, the main pathogen-esis is hyperactivity of yang due to yin deficiency, spleen deficiency and dampness overflow, and retention of blood stasis. In the late stage, the main pathogenesis is yin deficiency and blood loss, yin deficiency involving yang, and blood stasis blocking collateral. Therefore,in the early stage, the method of dispersing stagnated liver qi for clearing fire, resolving dampness and purging turbidity, and removing blood stasis is used.In the later stage, the method of subsiding yang and nourishing yin, strengthening spleen and eliminating dampness, and promoting blood circulation for remo-ving blood stasis is used.In the later stage, the method of supplementing yin and nourishing blood, supplementing yang qi and search and remove collaterals is used.Three stages of treatment, not only improve the clinical effect, but also make the differentiation of hypertension treatment rules.
