Effect of nutrition combined with emotional support based on multidisci-plinary team model on nutritional status,psychological status and compli-cations of patients with laryngeal cancer
Objective To investigate effect of nutrition combined with emotional support based on multidisciplinary team(MDT)model on nutri-tional status,psychological status,and complications of patients with laryngeal cancer.Methods A total of 80 patients with laryngeal cancer under-went laryngectomy at Department of Otolaryngology and Neck Surgery in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected as study subjects.They were divided into two groups by random number table method,with 40 patients in each group.Control group received routine postoperative care for laryngeal cancer,while observation group received nutritional and emo-tional support nursing based on MDT mode on the basis of control group.Nutritional status,psychological status,and complications of two groups before and after intervention were compared.Results After intervention,the levels of hemoglobin,serum albumin,and total protein in two groups were higher than those before intervention,and those of observation group were higher than those of control group(P＜0.05).After intervention,the scores of self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale in two groups were lower than those before intervention,and those of observation group were lower than those of control group(P＜0.05).Total incidence rate of postoperative complication in observation group was lower than that in control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of nutrition combined with emotional support based on MDT mode in laryngeal cancer pa-tients can effectively improve their nutritional and psychological status,and reduce the incidence rate of complications.
