Clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing clinical pathways in perioperative period of percutaneous kyphoplasty in patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures
Objective To investigate application effect of traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing clinical pathways in perioperative pe-riod of percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP)in patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCF).Methods Ninety-six elderly OVCF patients admitted to Wenzhou TCM Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University from June 2020 to December 2021 were selected, and they were divided into two groups by random number table method, with 48 cases in each group.Control group received routine postoperative care for fractures, while observation group received traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing clinical pathway intervention on the basis of control group.Visual analogue scale(VAS),Oswestry disability index(ODI)scores, complications, and nursing satisfaction of two groups were compared. Results One week after surgery,VAS and ODI scores in two groups were lower than those at admission, and observation group was lower than control group(P<0.05).Total incidence rate of complication in observation group was lower than that in control group, and nursing satisfaction in observation group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Clinical path of traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing is effective applied in perioperative PKP of OVCF patients.
