Status and influencing factors of stoma acceptance in patients undergoing permanent enterostomy for colorectal cancer
Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of stoma acceptance in patients with colorectal cancer undergoing permanent enterostomy(PE).Methods A total of 160 PE patients with colorectal cancer admitted to Haian People's Hospital,Jiangsu Province from June 2020 to September 2023 were selected as the investigation objects, and the ostomy adjustment inventory(OAI)was used to investigate the stomatological acceptance of PE patients. The data related to the disease were collected, and the factors influencing stoma acceptance in PE patients with colorectal cancer were analyzed by multiple linear regression. Results A total of 160 questionnaires were sent out,and 156 were valid, with an effective recovery rate of 97.5%.The OAI score of 156 PE patients was(47.52±10.73)points.The OAI scores of PE patients with different education level, marital status, family monthly income, place of residence, postoperative time,self-care degree, ostomy coping style, and social support were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that education level, postoperative time, coping style, and social support were independent influencing factors for stomatological acceptance in PE patients with colorectal cancer(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression equation:OAI score of ostomy acceptance=39.543+2.536 × educational level+2.346 × time after ostomy-0.720 × coping style-2.917 × social support(R2=0.175,adjusted R2=0.171,F=14.450,P<0.05).Conclusion The colostomy acceptance of PE patients with colorectal cancer is at a medium level, and the patients'colostomy acceptance is directly related to their education level, postoperative time, coping style, and social support, which should be paid attention to.
