Effect of multidisciplinary team model with clinical pharmacists as the core on the management of diabetic patients
Objective To observe the effect of multidisciplinary team(MDT)model with clinical pharmacists as the core on the management of dia-betic patients. Methods A total of 400 diabetic patients admitted to Nanning Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to July 2022 were selected and divided into control group(200 cases)and intervention group(200 cases)by random number table method. The control group received conventional chronic diabetes education, and the intervention group adopted MDT model with clinical pharmacists as the core. After 12 months of intervention, blood glucose level and disease control rate were compared between the two groups, and treatment satisfaction was as-sessed.Results After intervention, the levels of fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose, and glycosylated hemoglobin in both groups were lower than those before intervention, and those of intervention group were lower than those of control group(P<0.05).The compliance rate of body mass index, blood pressure, blood lipid, and urinary albumin of intervention group were higher than those of control group(P<0.05).Inter-vention satisfaction in the intervention group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the management of diabetic pa-tients,the MDT model with clinical pharmacists as the core can further improve the hypoglycemic effect, effectively control the disease, and improve the quality oflife of patients, which is worth promoting.
